Lamanai Outpost Lodge |
|
Lamanai Outpost Lodge is situated on the banks of a 28 mile long spring fed lagoon amid the remnants of a major Maya city. It is surrounded by an incredible variety of habitats that facilitate unsurpassed nature-based and soft-adventure activities that depart right from your cabaña’s doorstep without the need for day-trips. The nearest full-service lodge or hotel is over 70 miles away.
Unlike many other lodges who share the same area and attractions, Lamanai Outpost is very much in a world of its own. Whether you are exploring the Maya ruins or watching nature awaken as the sun rises over New River Lagoon, it is almost guaranteed that it will be just you, your guide and a few friends that you have made at the Outpost.
Lamanai Outpost Lodge has operated as a jungle getaway since 1992 and is located on the skirts of one of Belize’s most impressive Maya Temples, Lamanai.
The 17 elegant thatch-roofed cabañas are cool, well ventilated and fully equipped with modern amenities such as 24-hour electricity, hot and cold water, mini-bar, and ceiling fan. We have 2 air conditioned cabañas and 7 lagoon front cabañas. Each has a verandah that provides a comfortable airy refuge overlooking the tropical gardens or lagoon.
Bushy’s place, our open air restaurant and bar with panoramic view of the jungle and lagoon, provides an eclectic menu full of Belizean delights – from local fish to Hand-picked fruits and vegetables as well as a variety of regional specialties and homemade breads and desserts. It is one set meal, but please let us know of any dietary restrictions or if you’d like anything different.
Facilities also include a lecture hall/research lab with audiovisual equipment. Lamanai Outpost Lodge is a small personable resort.
