Our tours are either a 1 day or 3 days on the river paddling on the river. Learn about the ancient Mayas as you walk through the plazas of sites that are unexcavated under the rainforests and hike through corn fields, beans and also learn about the lifestyle of the descendants of the Mayas.

1 DAY KAYAKING

Depart Placencia at 7:00am for an hour ride up the Placencia Road to Red Bank Village. Red Bank Village is a Mayan Community at the foothills of the Maya Mountains. Learn about the Mayas as we pass this village.

Drive upstream for about half hour and hike another half hour through the farms and rainforest. Once upstream we will start by introducing you to the river. We will then start our four hour journey downstream passing rapids and pools. See wildlife on the river and seasonal birds such as the Scarlet Macaws (November to March). These Magnificent Birds fly over you as you paddle down to Red Bank Village.

The River is a joy to paddle and a breathtaking view of the Maya Mountains.
